FPOs

How do I register?

FPOs/FPCs can register on e-NAM Portal via website (www.enam.gov.in) or mobile app or providing following details to nam@sfac.in or at nearest e-NAM Mandi:
- Name of FPOs/ FPCs
- Name, address, email Id and contact no. of authorized person (MD/CEO /Manager )
- Bank account Details ( Name of Bank, Branch, Account no. IFSC Code )

What is an FPO?

The concept behind Farmer Producer Organizations is that farmers, who are the producers of agricultural products, can form groups and register themselves under the Indian Companies Act. To facilitate this process, the Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) was mandated by Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, to support the State Governments in the formation of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)

What is the Role of FPOS

The aim is to enhance farmers’ competitiveness and increase their advantage in emerging market opportunities.

What are the benefits for FPOs?

- FPOs /FPCs operating in the vicinity of e-NAM integrated mandis are encouraged to register as sellers on e-NAM portal
- FPOs /FPCs to aggregate small lots of individual members and offer for sale as one lot on e-NAM portal
- Direct payment will be made by buyer to the FPOs/FPCs bank account
- Convergence of various Govt. Schemes such as Installation of sorting / grading/ packing Units may be considered to be placed at FPOs collection Centers

In how many statesFPOs are registered?

Currently 383 FPO's have been on-boarded on e-NAM platform in 15 states.

How FPO/FPC/ individual members will get the payment?

- The entire Payment will be credited to One Bank account of FPO/FPC.
- Post credit of Payment disbursal of amount to Individual members farmers has to be done by FPO/FPC.
- In case of unsold Lots, Logistics arrangement is to be made by FPO/FPC
- FPOs/FPCs will be provided access to e-NAM Dashboard to see MIS and Reports related to the Trade executed by FPOs/FPCs
